SAVING AND TAKING CARE OF ENERGY

Making a right and responsible use of energy and water resources, reducing waste and loss of energy, optimizing the generation cycle of waste material, correcting and improving the environmental impact of our daily life and of industry’s production process, promoting the use of renewable sources: All these are necessary measures not only to reduce pollution and preserve the environment, but to increase company competition as well.

Nowadays, these measures are urged not only by governments, state agencies and the mass media, but also by public interest. Producing energy in an efficient and sustainable manner implicitly means producing by raising quality standards, since the best energy is first of all energy that is not wasted.

For such an important area of activities, EN+ proposes  SAVE+, capable of improving efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Save+ becomes reality through steps and substantial actions that ENplus proposes to businesses. The cycle of action is simplified as follows:

Analysis  - Search for a solution - Actions

STEP 1. Analysis of energy consumption is made by monitoring consumption of energy on the field and by means of a non-invasive measurement tool. To measure the amount of energy a user consumes, EN+ creates an energy profile through:

  • Simulation based on gathering of data supplied by user
  • Measurement campaigns to record energy profiles through the use of a  fit and portable tool that allows analysis of electrical and thermal consumption, network trouble control, combustion analysis, emission control, and sound trouble control.

STEP 2. The Search for a solution lies in the previously gathered data. EN+ Energy Managers administer process analyses (6 sigma, SMAIC method) in order to:

  • Determine areas and processes useful for energy improvement;
  • Verify the right purchase and use of energy vectors;
  • Display condition and efficiency of current systems;
  • Determine the efficient energy model;
  • Determine technically/economically the actions to take.
A plan of possible actions together with an estimated budget is submitted to the customer. Financial soundness of every single action will be verified by simulation of obtainable benefits. Among the examined possible actions, the project that offers best saving, payback and advantages from an economical and environmentally suistainable point of view is proposed.

STEP 3. After involving the energy user in making a choice, implementation of action becomes the final step when measures to improve energy consumption are put into practice. Systems for on-the-spot self-produced energy can also be made if requested. These include cogeneration, trigeneration, photovoltaic systems and plants that run on vegetable oil and biomass.

Thanks to SAVE+, a user may grasp how to save a good deal of energy that can enter a production process. SAVE+ also allows a user to know how new systems of energy production can become a new way to save energy bringing benefit to competition and respect to the environment.
